AUCKLAND EXPLORER BUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.TICKETS

1.1 All sales are final. Tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded by Auckland Explorer Bus staff. Refunds are at the Management’s discretion and only in exceptional circumstances and within 7 days of purchasing the ticket. 

1.2 Online tickets purchased on the Auckland Explorer Bus website will contain a confirmation email with a QR code. Before travel your ticket must be “checked in” by Explorer Bus sales ambassadors who are based at stops 1 and 2. After being checked in, show your QR code to drivers to be verified/scanned  each and every time you board the bus.  

1.3 Vouchers purchased through approved resellers, and online ticket agents must be exchanged for an Auckland Explorer Bus pass before you travel. You can exchange your voucher with Explorer Bus sales ambassadors who are based at stops 1 and 2. In order to verify genuine vouchers, the following information must be included: reseller name or online ticket agent site, type of ticket purchased, the passenger’s name, day and date of travel, the number of passengers, and price paid. 

1.4 Prepaid vouchers or tickets to travel obtained from an unauthorised source, stolen, copied illegally or counterfeit will be seized and cancelled without compensation. 

1.5 The ticket to travel/QR code remains the property of the company and must be made available for inspection by the driver, guide or any official of the company on demand. 

1.6 Family tickets are not issued as individual tickets, therefore groups must stay together at all times with the purchase of a Family pass. 

1.7 A child is classified as those between 5 and 14 years of age. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged between 0 and 4 years travel free, if they’re held on an adult/guardian’s lap. 

1.8 If you’ve bought a combo, attraction tickets can also be used up to 24 hours after your pass expires. Please carefully check the conditions printed on your combo ticket for details on how to validate the ticket and other important information. 

1.9 To ensure we are able to meet demand and satisfy the customers’ needs, Auckland Hop On Hop Off Explorer reserve the right to suspend ticket sales on a day where the capacity of the service is exceeded. 

2. RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE

2.1 Our staff may at any time refuse to carry you, or remove you from any vehicle if: 

  • Any of them believe in their sole discretion:

2.2 That such action is necessary for your safety, or the safety of our staff or any other person 

2.3 That such action is necessary to avoid damage our vehicles and equipment, or the possessions of any other person  

2.4 You are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or you are smoking, or you are behaving in a manner that is or may become dangerous, unlawful, offensive, abusive, intimidating or annoying to our staff, any passenger, or any other person; 

2.5 That such action is necessary to comply with these terms, or any applicable laws, regulations, licenses, consents or approvals; 

2.6 You refuse to obey a reasonable request made by our staff; 

3. IMAGE USE

3.1 The passenger acknowledges and gives consent for Auckland Explorer Bus/Entrada Travel Group by itself or through an agent to take photographs, audio or video recordings, or other forms of recordings that capture the passenger’s image, likeness, voice, performance or all of these (“Images”) during the course of this activity/tour. The passenger acknowledges and gives consent for Entrada Travel Group to receive and use Images of the passenger. 

3.2 Entrada Travel Group may use Images for marketing and promoting its services. The ways in which the Images will be used for marketing purposes include, but are not limited to, incorporating the Images in print, broadcast, internet media, direct marketing channels, downloadable content and applications, and all other media, platform or technology now known or to be developed for distribution around the world. The Images may be altered, modified, changed, combined or incorporated into other works. 

3.3 The passenger has a right to request access to the passenger’s Images and to correction of those Images to ensure they are complete and not misleading. However, the passenger acknowledges that if the Images have been incorporated into marketing materials, it may not be reasonably practicable for Entrada Travel Group to make any changes to the Images. The passenger authorises Entrada Travel Group to refuse the request to correction in such circumstances. 

4. COMPLAINTS

4.1 We strive to deliver exceptional customer service and welcome feedback. Should you wish you register a complaint about any aspect of you Explorer Bus experience, please contact us at info@explorerbus.co.nz and provide details. To enable us to validate your travel we request that you attach a copy of your Auckland Explorer Bus ticket and note the day/s you travelled.
